Since March, the U.S. has blocked all nonessential travel along its northern border with Canada to limit the spread of COVID-19. But in northern Maine, the move has cut off many longstanding social and economic ties, and left businesses struggling.

Maine Public Radio’s Robbie Feinberg (@robbiefeinberg) visited one border town to see how lives — and livelihoods — are being affected.

This segment aired on June 1, 2020.
