The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has advised what it calls the use of "simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of coronavirus" and prevent those who may not know they have it from transmitting to others. But that recommendation does not apply to children under two.

Medical professionals say the masks pose a variety of risks to young children, despite some companies' sale of masks designed for babies.

Dr. Robert Glatter practices at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and joins host Robin Young to talk about those dangers and to dispel some myths about mask-wearing.

This segment aired on June 16, 2020.
