COVID-19 Cases Spike In Southern California

Southern California is experiencing a huge surge in coronavirus cases. On Monday, Los Angeles County tallied its highest daily count and now has 100,000 cases as hospitalization rates continue to climb.

Gov. Gavin Newsom has ordered bars close in seven counties and has advised at least one county to transition back to stay-at-home orders. KPCC health reporter Jackie Fortiér has the latest.
