Across Massachusetts, the coronavirus pandemic has separated families from their loved ones in nursing homes and created new challenges for staff who are trying to stop the virus from spreading in these facilities.

As WBUR's Miriam Wasser reports, navigating this pandemic is difficult in many ways, but it's particularly complicated when caring for someone who has dementia.
