Asheville City Councilwoman On Reparations Vote

This week, the city council in Asheville, North Carolina, unanimously approved a measure for reparations for Black residents and apologizing for slavery. The funding would be put toward programs that increase career opportunities and homeownership for Black Americans. It would not be direct payments.
