What States Can Learn From Rhode Island's Approach To Unemployment Backlogs

Senate lawmakers have adjourned for the week with no plan to extend the weekly $600 CARES Act extra unemployment benefits that have been helping keep families afloat during the pandemic.

States are also still struggling to respond to backlogs of jobless claims. Rhode Island is among those embracing technology to better serve unemployed people.

Here & Now's Tonya Mosley speaks with Scott Jensen, director for the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training.
