TikTok Won't Be Sold, But Oracle Deal Could Avert US Ban Anyway

Oracle says it will be a "trusted technology partner" for TikTok, hoping to mollify the national security concerns of U.S. regulators.

President Trump had originally threatened to ban TikTok if it was not sold to an American company. While this arrangement falls short of a full sale, Oracle would likely get a stake in the Chinese social media app if the deal goes through.
