Afghanistan's Future In Balance In Talks

Historic peace talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government are underway. It's the first time the two sides have met face to face after decades of war. The Taliban were ousted from power in 2001 by a U.S.-led coalition for harboring Osama Bin Laden, the architect of the 9/11 attacks.

Here & Now's Tonya Mosley speaks with the BBC's Secunder Kermani about how the Taliban and the Afghan government see that country's future.

This BBC interview can be heard in the Here & Now podcast or with the WBUR app.
