Europe's Coronavirus Surge
As coronavirus surges in parts of the United States, Europe is also responding to spikes in infections in several countries.
Spain announced a state of emergency to tamp down surging virus cases. In France, COVID-19 patients now occupy more than half of the country's intensive care units. And Italy is taking new steps to close some businesses.
