Millions of federal student-loan borrowers are off the hook until at least February. The Department of Education has extended the payment pause that was set to expire at the end of this year.

Since the spring, the department has offered borrowers a break on payments and interest.

Here & Now's Tonya Mosley speaks with Jill Schlesinger, CBS News business analyst and host of "Jill on Money," about what the extension means for the 42 million Americans with student loan debt.
