Former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Mark McClellan tells Here & Now's Tonya Mosley that "based on what I've seen" he would take Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine, which is up for emergency use authorization Thursday before an FDA advisory panel.

McClellan says it's not yet known how long immunity lasts or whether the vaccine prevents an infected person from infecting others, and it could be "into spring" before every American has a chance to take the vaccine.

This segment aired on December 10, 2020.
