First Vaccines Administered To General Public As US Hovers Around 300,000 COVID-19 Deaths

COVID-19 vaccines have been shipped across the country on Monday, and some health care workers have already received it. The distribution effort started after the Food and Drug Administration approved a vaccine developed by Pfizer and partner BioNTech for emergency on Friday.

But while this is good news in the fight against the pandemic, it comes amid a grim milestone. The U.S. has logged around 300,000 COVID-19 deaths. NPR's Allison Aubrey joins us for more.
