San Francisco hosts one of the oldest and largest Chinese New Year parades in the country. Last year, the city allowed the event to proceed even as the COVID-19 pandemic was threatening to shut most businesses and large public gatherings down.

This year, KQED's Chloe Veltman reports that things are very different.
