U.S. Drug Overdose Deaths Drastically Increase Since Start Of Pandemic

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that over a 12-month period ending in June, more than 81,000 people in the U.S. have died from drug overdoses. That's the highest overdose death toll the nation has ever seen in a single year.
