Behind every stellar piano player on stage, there's an equally seasoned tuner who's made their instruments sound the way they should. But like musicians, piano technicians have had a rough year without concerts at arenas and clubs to help pay their bills.

WBUR's Andrea Shea has the story of one piano tuner who's something of a barometer on the pandemic-battered live music industry in Boston.
