What's behind China's ambitious plans to compete in every winter sport at the Olympics

The Winter Olympics are set to start on Feb. 4 in China. But the country's prep started six years and $4 billion dollars ago.

The country has ambitious plans to compete in every winter sport and also to seed a new industry of recreational skiing and skating.

Peter Hessler, a staff writer for The New Yorker, was there in China to see it — and ski it. He joins host Scott Tong.
