As U.S. pushes allies to boycott Russian oil and gas, Europe fears an energy shock

Russia is funding the invasion of Ukraine in part through sales of oil and gas. That's despite a ban on Russian energy imports by the U.S. and a promise from Germany to wean off Russian oil by the end of the year.

Now the Biden administration is trying to convince its allies in Europe and around the world to cut back even more.
