Israel passes controversial new judicial bill

Israel's Knesset passed the first part of a draft of controversial new judicial bills aimed at weakening the country's supreme court. Widespread protests have swept the nation over the proposals to weaken the nation's courts for much of the year, but the government still pushed through its first round of changes.
