What happened to the recession economists predicted?

As recently as a few months ago, economists were nearly unanimous in predicting a recession. But even though the Federal Reserve has raised interest rates 11 times, the economy is still strong with no sign of a recession.

The Atlantic's Derek Thompson tells us why he thinks we've avoided a downturn.
