NBA season begins

The new NBA season tips off Tuesday night with two banner games.

The reigning champion Boston Celtics face their division rival New York Knicks, who many see as the Celtics' biggest threat to a repeat Eastern Conference win.

The other game features the Los Angeles Lakers against Western Conference title contenders the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Other top contenders such as the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks have to wait to get their seasons underway until Wednesday.
