Watertown awards Gellerman 2016 Community Spirit Award

WBUR Reporter Bruce Gellerman received the 2016 Community Spirit Award at the Watertown Historical Commission Preservation Awards.  The Community Spirit Award is given to an individual or group who has taken a leadership role in the advancement of appreciate for Watertown’s unique cultural make-up.

Gellerman received this award for his report, “Remembering the Armenian Genocide 100 Years Ago.” The report discusses the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide  and it’s special significance in Watertown, a home to many descendants of survivors of the genocide.
Bruce Gellerman is an award-winning journalist and senior correspondent, frequently covering science, business, technology and the environment.
