Here & Now to feature "Truth Be Told" podcast

Beginning Thursday, April 6, Here & Now will feature a regular bi-weekly segment of the Truth Be Told podcast hosted by Tonya Mosley. Truth Be Told digs into what it means to not just survive but thrive as a person of color in our country. It’s been selected as a Spotlight podcast featured by Apple Podcasts.

Mosley launched Truth Be Told in 2019, describing it as an advice show that flipped the idea of what advice could be on its head.

I wanted answers to questions that were coming up in my own life as a Black person in America. I thought, what if there was a podcast where we can take on deep and complex topics that are meaningful to people's everyday lives?

Every other Thursday through June 30, a feature tied to recent podcast episodes of Truth Be Told will be included during Here & Now broadcasts. Mosley, the recent co-host of Here & Now with Robin Young and Scott Tong, moved into a new Correspondent role in February to invest more time into special reporting and projects, including Truth be Told.

Here & Now is a co-production from NPR and WBUR. Support for Here & Now’s broadcast of Truth be Told comes in part from The Mass Cultural Council, committed to supporting a diverse, inclusive, and an anti-racist cultural sector in the Commonwealth. Through their racial equity plan and grant-making, Mass Cultural Council is working to better serve artists and organizations.
