WBUR ranks among top women-led businesses in Massachusetts

WBUR, Boston's NPR and a national public media leader, has claimed its spot on the "Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts 2022" list for the first time. Margaret Low, chief executive officer, joins fellow recipients across industries – with companies like Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, EY and the New England Aquarium also represented this year.

To rank the annual list of power players fueling the Massachusetts economy, The Women's Edge and the Globe Magazine crunched revenue, staff and impact numbers, among other criteria.

Low took the WBUR helm after she transformed live journalism at The Atlantic and enjoyed a decades-long career at NPR, where she journeyed from Morning Edition production assistant to vice president for programming and then to vice president for news. She currently oversees both local and national operations by nearly 200 employees from WBUR headquarters on Commonwealth Avenue.
