About

The investigative team pursues stories that hold powerful institutions and people to account.

Launched with the hire of Christine Willmsen as investigations editor and reporter in November 2018, WBUR set a goal of producing radio and online series that shine a light on wrongdoing in the New England area. The investigations team also includes Beth Healy, a former Boston Globe reporter, whose stories have created change and impact.

Both journalists are experienced and nationally recognized for producing award-winning stories that expose corruption and abuse at government agencies and businesses. Teaming up with beat reporters, they also produce deeply reported watchdog stories about subjects that affect the lives of Bostonians.

Ultimately, WBUR hopes to become your destination for compelling investigative projects.
