The New England Patriots will not get a chance to repeat as Super Bowl champions. The Patriots lost to the Denver Broncos in the AFC title game on Sunday 20-18.

The Patriots rallied in the final two minutes to score a touchdown, but couldn't pull off a two-point conversion to tie the game.

Quarterback Tom Brady said it was a disappointing loss.

"You know it was just tough for us to ever get into a rhythm, then to finally score some points there at the end and for it to come down to a two-point conversion is obviously a tough way to end the season," he said.

The Broncos will take on the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 two weeks from now.

For a look at the game and an assessment of the Patriots' entire season, ESPN.com reporter Mike Reiss joined Morning Edition.

This segment aired on January 25, 2016.
