What role do cities play in addressing and preparing for the effects of climate change?

That's what Boston Mayor Marty Walsh spent two days this week discussing at an international climate change summit in China.

Next year's summit will be held in Boston.

Anthony Janetos, a Boston University professor and director of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future, joined Morning Edition to explain why Boston and other cities are uniquely positioned to fight climate change.

This segment aired on June 9, 2016.
