Hurricane Matthew is barreling through the Caribbean on Tuesday morning, bringing strong winds and rain to Haiti.

A Worcester-based charity is keeping a close eye on the storm, and we briefly speak with Jonathan LaMare, the orphanage director with the "Be Like Brit" Foundation in Haiti, about the preparations his employees are making for the storm.

We're also joined by WBUR meteorologist David Epstein. He brings us the latest on the storm's trajectory, including how it will impact places like Haiti in a severe way before winding down and potentially heading north and closer to New England.

This segment aired on October 4, 2016.
