Quick Action By Colleagues And Tourniquet Use Helped Save Officers Injured In East Boston Shooting

Two Boston police officers who were critically injured in a shootout in East Boston Wednesday night remain in critical but stable condition and are expected to recover.

Officer Richard Cintolo, a 27-year BPD veteran, and Matthew Morris, a 12-year veteran, were shot after responding to a domestic disturbance and remain in critical care at Massachusetts General Hospital.
