On Thursday afternoon, a federal jury in Boston is expected to begin its deliberations over what sentence an admitted killer and car jacker deserves.

Closing arguments in the sentencing trial of Gary Lee Sampson ended up lasting the whole day on Wednesday.

WBUR's David Boeri reports on the battle over whether Sampson deserves death or life in prison.
