Ready, Set, Shop Tax-Free!
This weekend, Massachusetts shoppers can take advantage of a once-a-year phenomenon: a break from the usual 5 percent sales tax. On Saturday and Sunday, consumers won't pay taxes on items less than $2,500, thanks to a measure passed earlier this year by the Legislature and signed by Gov. Mitt Romney.
So, what will you be shopping for this weekend?
For more on Massachusetts' tax-free holiday, we're joined by State Revenue Commissioner Alan Lebovidge.
