YMCA Drops Plan for Greenway Facility
There is more trouble for the Rose Kennedy Greenway project.
The YMCA of Greater Boston, which had planned to build a new headquarters there, now says it cannot.
The Greenway is that long space above the Big Dig being redeveloped into a mix of parkland, with non-profit and commercial development.
The news comes just weeks before the deadline for organizations to submit development proposals to the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, which is in charge of the greenway.
Steve Bailey, business columnist for the Boston Globe speaks with Bob Oakes about the Greenway's future.
