Talented Politicians

Those vying for Boston city council seats and the mayor's office were on stage last night for one of the last times before tomorrow's preliminary election. But it wasn't stump speeches or campaign promises they were laying down — instead, they were singing their hearts out, reading poetry, and playing the piano. Giving constituents a look at some talent they might not be showing on the campaign trail.

The show, called "Spotlight on the Candidates,' was held at the Riverside Theatre Works in Hyde Park. WBUR producer Matt Largey was there...he brought back this sampling.

This program aired on September 26, 2005. The audio for this program is not available.
