A Wash for the Sox

The New England patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons yesterday at the Georgia dome 31-28.

The game was won on a field goal from Pat's kicker Adam Vinatiery, with only 17 seconds left on the clock.

The Pat's victory may be small comfort for New England sports fans, still smarting over the Chicago White Sox sweep of the Red Sox last week, ending the Red Sox season and any hopes of taking the World Series championship two years in a row this fall. For one last look at the Sox 2005 season Bob Oakes turns to Red Sox analyst Glenn Stout.

This program aired on October 10, 2005. The audio for this program is not available.
