NH Town Runs Own Flood Crisis Center

A hotel on Main Street has become crisis central for the small town of Alstead in Southwestern New Hampshire. In the wake of weekend flooding and more rains this week, emergency workers and many of the town's 2,000 or so residents are relying on this unofficial shelter. WBUR's Bob Oakes speaks with Andrea Quaglin, whose family has been in Alstead for generations.

This program aired on October 14, 2005. The audio for this program is not available.
