Damon Trades Red Socks for Pinstripes

Johnny Damon a New York Yankee? Yes, it is so. The center fielder has reached a preliminary agreement with New York: $52 million for four years work. Damon had rejected a Red Sox offer of $40 million for the same amount of time. The deal is contingent upon Johnny Damon passing a physical, but one thing is known: the hirsute hitter will have to cut his hair.
