Theo Epstein is returning to the Fenway fold. He had resigned as Red Sox general manager in October last year, then the organization split his former job between two of Epstein's former front office colleagues.
Now, the organization says Epstein will rejoin the Red Sox "in a full-time baseball operations capacity, details of which will be announced next week."
Red Sox analyst Glenn Stout author of "Red Sox Century" parses this latest move by Epstein and the BoSox.
