BU Biolab Gets Federal Approval

Boston University says it will begin construction of a controversial bio-safety lab in the South End within several weeks. The facility, called the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory, has already been authorized at the local and state levels. It got the final go-ahead Thursday when the federal government announced its approval.
