House and Senate leaders are still in closed-door negotiations over plans to expand healthcare coverage in Massachusetts. But there are signs the talks may have hit a snag: Senate President Robert Travelini tells The Boston Globe there are still significant differences between the Senate and House plans. The differences include proposals to mandate coverage.

The plan for an employer mandate has generated vocal opposition from mainstream business groups. But, the proposal for a mandate on individuals has not caused as much public controversy.

To gauge opinion about the plan that would require individuals to buy insurance, Martha Bebinger speaks with uninsured residents about the prospect.
