Gay Adoption Topic of Romney-Archdiocese Meeting

Governor Mitt Romney says he'll meet with officials of the Catholic Church, after Boston Archbishop Sean O'Malley and the state's other Catholic bishops formally announced their intention yesterday to seek an exemption from the state's non-discrimination laws. The laws ban the Church's social services agency, Catholic Charities from discriminating against same-sex couples seeking to adopt. The board of Catholic Charities has voted to continue facilitating gay adoptions.
