Survey: Reliance on Food Banks Increases

Hunger is on the rise in the Bay State, a recent study reveals. A survey by the Greater Boston Food Bank finds nearly half a million people — seven percent of the population in Massachusetts — seek emergency food aid each year. And the study shows that during the past decade the number of Massachusetts residents relying on food banks has almost doubled. Bob Oakes speaks with Catherine D'Amato, the food bank's president.
