O'Toole Resigns, to Take Ireland Post

Boston is looking for a new police commissioner. Kathleen O'Toole said yesterday that she plans to leave the post by July first, when she expects to start her new job as chief inspector of Ireland's national police force. O'Toole's resignation comes at a critical time for Boston, which is experiencing a record rise in homicides and shootings.
