Flood Waters on the Rise in Methuen

The rising waters of the Merrimack River have flooded communities along its banks — Methuen, among them. The city is also home to another river — the Spicket — which has risen by about twelve feet. At this stage, the biggest concern is whether the Spicket Falls Dam will hold. Fred Thys visited Methuen Monday as floodwaters were on the rise and hundreds of people had to evacuate their homes.
