The conflict in Lebanon has prompted an outpouring of support for Israel in Boston.
Both of the city's major daily newspapers yesterday contained an advertisement with a who's who list in Massachusetts politics.
Governor Mitt Romney, and former governor Mike Dukakis are on the list as are all of the candidates for governor, both of the state's U.S. senators, other members of congress and many of the states best known community activists.
They've all signed the statement of support titled 'we stand with israel'.
The ad reads, in part, "we firmly support Israel's right to defend her population against unprovoked acts of terror, including missile attacks against Boston's sister city, Haifa."
There was another missile attack on Haifa today.
The statement was drafted with help from the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston.
