State Lawmakers Oppose New LNG Report

Five state senators who served on a special commission to locate sites for liquid natural gas terminals are objecting to the findings of their own panel.

The lawmakers say the report ignored potential environmental impacts and heavily favors one proposal.

The report recommends continued study of a plan to construct an LNG terminal in Boston Harbor, but does not mention facilities proposed off Gloucester and Fall River.
