MA Legislature May Reconvene

Senate president Robert Travaglini appears to have reversed his opposition to calling a special session. Previously, both he and House Speaker Sal Dimasi said lawmakers could deal with unfinished business during informal meetings.

Governor Mitt Romney had urged the legislature to reconvene when it ended its formal session without voting on a bond bill.

Meanwhile some lawmakers are also pushing for a special session...to resolve debate over a veterans' bill that would allow members of the National Guard to go to state universities for free.

Now Travaglini says he'll negotiate with Dimasi on a date to reconvene, possibly in early fall.
