Gubernatorial Candidates Vying for Voters

The three Democratic candidates for governor have conducted a relatively benign campaign this year, and in the final weeks before the September 19th primary, each candidate is urging a different body of voters to visit the polls.

Venture capitalist Christopher Gabrieli is seeking to rally the independent-leaning Democrats who often stay home for the primary.

Former Justice Department Attorney Deval Patrick is making a push for more support from committed liberals.

And Attorney General Thomas Reilly has been emphasizing his connection with blue collar voters.

WBUR's Fred Thys reports on the race.

This program aired on September 5, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
