Remembering Ed King

Former Massachusetts Governor Edward J. King has died at the age of 81. He was considered a conservative Democrat, who beat Michael Dukakis in the 1978 primary, then went on to capture the corner office. Dukakis turned the tables four years later, winning a primary rematch over King.

Governor King had been in ill health since earlier this year when he suffered a fall at his condo in Florida. WBUR's Steve Brown has this report on Edward King's political life.

This program aired on September 19, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
