Sparks Fly at Governor's Debate

The four candidates for the Corner Office faced off for their first debate of the general election campaign last night.

In a live talkfest, co-sponsored by The Boston Herald and Fox TV, Democrat Deval Patrick was seated on the left while Republican Kerry Healey was on the right. Between them, Green-Rainbow candidate Grace Ross and Independent Christy Mihos.

It was a fast-paced, vigorous conversation on tax breaks, immigration policy, and the Big Dig.

WBUR's Martha Bebinger offers a roundup of the debate.
