Malden Marine Killed in Iraq

A Marine from Malden has died in Iraq.

19-year-old Lance Corporal Edward Garvin was killed Wednesday while conducting combat operations in Iraq's Al Anbar province.

Garvin graduated from Northeast Metro Tech Vocational High School last year and enlisted last summer. He was assigned to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and had been in Iraq for less than two months.
