Remembering Mass. Marine Josh Booth

This morning, four hundred fifty Marines and Navy Corpsmen are arriving in Devens to be reunited with their families. The 1st Battalion, 25th Marines are returning after seven months in Fallujah.

The reserve unit's homecoming falls during the deadliest month for U-S forces in Iraq in two years. Among those killed is Marine Second Lieutenant Joshua Booth from Sturbridge.

The 23-year old officer was serving with a regular unit, when a sniper killed him in Haditha last week. His family is burying him this afternoon. WBUR's Curt Nickisch has his story.

This program aired on October 26, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
